Matopos Cultural Tourism Program is a community tourism project which conducts tours to Matopos Village which is located at the edge of Rhodes Matopos National Park.Participants will be able to see at list two cave paintings, matopos rock formation, matopos rock balancing,visit the matopos village as well as visiting the cultural centre which is being run by a group of the Ndebele women.Visitors will be able to participate in different day to date domestic duties which are done by the local villagers, this will involve projects like pottery making, playing marimba,cooking local meals, milking cows,caring water from the boreholes,basket making and many other day to day home activities.Visitors from Bulawayo can either take public transport or hire their own transport to MatoposShow moreCultural Tourism Center.Please allow at list a full day or two days to allow yourself to have the great chance to see all the great things which are found in matopos village.Village fees are paid direct to the villagers and most of the guides are from the village.Mr Dube is the head of the Cultural Tourism Program and he had stayed in the area for more than 40 years, a retired teacher who had dedicated his entire life to see this project going on.Your visit to the matopos village will be greatly appreciated and it will be a great support to the whole village of Matopos.For more information and bookings, contact Mr Dube the village head at : tats_safaris@outlook.com
